Trust me, God Has a Good Plan for you!
The year started quite differently for me, but as I reflected, God reminded me that He has good plans for me. He has plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. Personally, I felt as if the year didn’t start until just this second week of January! This is because I have been recovering from an influenza infection from the end of the year till just recently. Feeling like I need to start January again.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29: 11 NIV
Having been someone who plans early in the year, this time I feel a little disoriented. At times, thoughts of feeling a little late in planning have been creeping in. I’ve seen a lot of people who seem already to have their vision board for the year set. I, on the other hand, have just started developing my plan and direction for the year.
Today, I want to encourage you as I encourage myself. Before we make any plans for ourselves, God says in His Word that He has already predetermined our lives. He has already laid out plans for our good.
God Made 2026 with You in Mind.
Before God created you, all your days were written in His book. He already ordained each day. He is the Alpha and Omega! Our God already saw our beginning and our end before we ever came to be!
Your eyes saw my unformed body; All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be
Psalms 139: 16 NIV
Over and above knowing our entire history, past, present, and future, the Bible tells us how precious are His thoughts towards us(Psalms 139: 17-18 NLT)! God’s thoughts towards us are far beyond what you could ever have imagined for yourself. This year, God has good thoughts towards you and your family. He wants you to succeed and excel in all that you do. Our Father and creator wants us to be the best version yet of ourselves!
God’s plans don’t mean that He will do everything we want or need! The assurance we have is that all things will work out for our good.(Romans 8: 28 NIV) Every path you take this year will work out for you because our God, the great miracle worker, knows when and how to intervene for your case! He knows which direction will lead you to Victory. Even if we divert, he knows how to lead us back to victory! Rest assured that each day of 2026 is loaded with daily benefits from God. (Psalms 68:19 NKJV)
Plan With God as your Lead!
The author of our lives is calling us to invite Him to lay out the plans for the year! He will, unfortunately, not force Himself into our plans. He wants an invitation to lead us into paths of victory. God wants to teach us and guide us, simply with His eyes! So look up unto Him!
Gaze and lean into Him even more this year. Even when you don’t know what step to take, look for His precious eyes to ever lead us, even in the shadow of death! His rod and His staff will offer comfort in times of uncertainty. Acknowledge Him in all your ways ad He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3: 6 KJV)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Psalms 32: 8 NKJV
Commit Your Ways Unto God
After you have put up your vision board or your year’s goals, commit them to the Lord in prayer. Take each plan and turn it into a prayer. Surrender each plan to God! Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with such wisdom and understanding to be able to complete each task ahead of you!
Unless he leads us and builds this year with us, it would be in vain to pursue dreams! He is the rock and the solid foundation we are building this year on! In Him, despite every wind and every storm, every high and low, we will stand unshaken, because He is our anchor!
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Grace to Walk and Act in Faith
Finally, it is God who works in us, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. (Philippians 2: 3 NKJV)Therefore, after all the planning and jotting down actionable items, step out in faith! One step at a time. One victory over the other until you reach your intended goal! Will it be scary, and will the road be bumpy? Certainly!
However, remember to keep your gaze upon Him, steadily, consistently, until the good plans of the Lord come to fulfillment in our lives! Don’t live in the vision board, move out in action! He who started the dream will bring it to completion! ( Philippians 1: 6 KJV) God is such a faithful promise-keeping God who intends to give you plans with a hope and a future!
An Amazing 2026 it is!
Wishing you an amazing journey of faith and tremendous victory this year, 2026! For you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Receive strength to scale every mountain, may your feet be as swift as the deer! (Habakkuk 3:19) May you execute every plan with precision and excellence! May God send you help from Zion and grant you favor and victory (Psalms 20:2 NKJV)!
